Reviewing cards that are due
Spaced repetition brings each card back just before you'd forget it.
Spaced repetition shows you each card again just before you'd forget it. Cards you know come back after longer and longer gaps; cards you're still learning come back soon. A few minutes of review every day or two works better than one long session before a test.
Your instructor chooses whether a deck uses spaced repetition. When it does and some cards are due, a to review button shows below the card with the number of cards waiting.

Start a review
- Select to review below the card, or
- Open Settings, choose Review under Study mode, and select Done. On a phone, this is the way in: the review button doesn't fit below the card.
How a review works
- Flip each card and mark it Still learning or Know it, or press 1 or 2.
- A card you're still learning comes back a few cards later in the same round.
- A card you know is done for now. Flash Reference schedules it for later: the better you know it, the longer the wait.
A round has up to 20 cards. Cards that are due come first, then some you haven't studied yet. Your instructor sets how many new cards you get each day (usually 20).
Review always uses the deck's cards in the order they're due, so Shuffle and Show Bookmarked Cards don't apply to it.
When you're done
At the end of a round, Flash Reference tells you how many cards are still due (select Keep reviewing to carry on), or that you're All caught up and when your next review is.

If you open Review when nothing is due, it says Nothing to review right now and when your next review is.
Every mark counts
Marks you make in flip cards and answers in multiple choice also update your schedule, not just marks in Review.
Review needs your progress to be saved, so open the deck from your course. As a guest on a website, Review treats every card as new and says Progress isn't saved here.
