Flash Reference

Security

As the creators of Flash Reference we take security seriously. The Flash Reference web application is hosted on cloud servers with our infrastructure team applying server updates and security patches on a regular basis.

All network traffic is routed over HTTPS and encrypted using strong TLS 1.2 256 bit encryption.

The majority of authentication is done using OAuth using the LTI specification. Users have the option of setting their own password to access the interface outside of their school's LMS and these passwords are hashed before storing them in the database for future authentication.

Application data is backed up regularly in case of emergency or disaster.
